yeatesit.biz ... incredible ... or true? aims to provide Queensland residents with a range of reported examples and experiences which it appears likely will support the view that there is a "deliberate generic attack on the suburbs and the people who live in them".
yeatesit.biz ... incredible ... or true? aims to provide Queensland residents with an opportunity to have their problems or issues made more public, to gain wider support, to learn from the experience and knowledge of others and hopefully, to quickly gain the support of both local and state government to change some relatively simple processes which have had such dramatic impacts on so many people.
yeatesit.biz ... incredible ... or true? invites you to tell your story, whether from past, the recent past or current because it now seems increasingly likely that the planning and development processes in Queensland are effectively if not actually corrupted and hence potentially, corrupt. Only you can help provide the evidence, including where some or all of the following have occurred:-
~ continued relaxation of regulations without account of neighbours rights of equal treatment,
~ buildings not built according to approvals,
~ excess height, filling, excavation and/or tree removal before seeking applications,
~ demolition without approval before subdivision into small lots is approved without the intended development,
~ applications not representing what is on site,
~ removal of objection and/or appeal powers for residents but not for developers,
~ construction or demolition of illegal buildings allowed post facto approval despite damage to and/or obliteration of the "original" site conditions, character and amenity, trees ...
The list is endless but it gets worse. It increasingly appears that development previously advised as unacceptable is now being accepted ... a form of corruption if the former owners were misled or later owners have gained through influence.
